Onboard Pacific Pearl, you'll find an eye-opening range of activities and entertainment around the clock. From morning 'til night, there's plenty of action! Her top deck features a giant LED Big Screen and an outdoor circus arena where jaw-dropping acrobatics are performed. Move inside and you'll find 270 degree views and entertainment galore in The Dome; a great range of bars including MIX cockail bar and pub-style venue The Orient; and spectacular production shows in the Marquee Theatre.

On Pacific Pearl every meal is a delight, whether you are sampling a la carte selections in The Waterfront Restaurant, tucking into the buffet or enjoying juicy burger at The Grill. For a little extra, splash out at the celebrity chef restaurant Salt grill by Luke Mangan and try the delicate crab omelet or liquorice parfait with lime syrup. Yum!

I have been on this ship twice now it is not my favorite ship or liner but I will say that our cabin had to be one of the best I have had, cruises are what you make of them, First time on this ship was with my husband and some friends we had a ball ,the meals were a bit small but we figured out that we could order two so were happy and full. We had the choise of going to the shows or not and if we were not enjoying then could get up and walk out ( it wasn't as if we were losing any money ) we found the staff friendly and obliging and the Islands great with the tenders crew so helpfull and quick. if you expect to much and are not prepared to put in the time to enjoy yourself than you won't. but if you go on with the thought that you are going to have a great time than you can, I am looking at booking my next two in the next few weeks with family and friends, it is the cheapest way to holiday. If you have a complaint about something tell the crew so they can fix it, not to everyone else just so you can have somthing to say and have a grumble

Pacific Pearl is a money maker.
I think P and O stands for Profit at every Opportunity. They are there to screw money out of you. Be warned.
But the cruise can still be fantastic.
Some positives were the range of activities, the floorshows [ albeit in a second class venue ] the general warmth of the non-British crew and the sheer excitement of being onboard and the places visited. the use of tender boats was excellent. Lifou, Isle of Pines and Mare are gorgeous.
Some warnings-- avoid a cabin with children or babies next door, the walls are paper thin and you wont get any sleep. Big deal.
Also avoid a cabin on deck 6. Early in the moring they clean the 7th deck and bang the structure and it sounds like a bell in your cabin.
Dont expect there to be many Aussies on the crew. There are mnay Brits though-- some with a special 'who cares 'arrogance that wears a bt thin at times.
The 'Retail therapists' were an annoyance, vain, ego driven and so in need of customer service training. Still there were some good buys to be had.
The entertainment was fine, the meals were good enough, the service from those in PR roles was very British [ could learn customer skills from Asian cruise staff on other lines i suggest} Still it was only a 3 star experience-- and you get what you pay for.
Crew all seem a bit tired.
Watefront meals were adequate-- Plantation buffet meals were also generally ok--but a bit like a cafeteria-- served on trays and never enough seats.
But-- the success is up to you to make it a fantastic trip. just don rely on the Brits in charge to boerther to assist you do so.

The Pearl is certainly showing its age with leaks, dirty worn and stained carpets. Having siad that there are many positives included the Orient bar and the fantastic service offerd by most of the staff. However everything is inconsist with some staff being poorly trained and/or lacking in interest. The food in the Waterfront ranges from good to poor. Breakfast in the Waterfront is not as good as at the Plantation. Apart from breakfast we only ate one meal at the Plantation and it was extemly poor. The roast beef we had was at least a day old and hard and dry.
