Arrived back from a Xmas cruise a week ago after 10 nights up the Australian east coast to Cairns. We had a balcony stateroom which suited my husband who is a smoker. He enjoyed just sitting on the balcony watching the world sail by. Rooms were nice with lots of nooks and crannies to hide all your bits and pieces. Showers are certainly small but were OK once you got used to them and worked out how to not drown the bath mat. I had trouble adjusting to the curved ends of the bed and my legs kept hanging off the end for the first few nights.
Room stewards were wonderful with the towel animals appearing every second night. Bar staff took the trouble to get to know your name so by the end you felt 'special'.
I would highly recommend the dining packages to the speciality restaurants. Chops Grill, Giovanni's Table and the Samba Grill were all excellent. We didn't try Izumi.
The food in Rita's Cantina was good and plentiful whilst the food and wine provided in "The Chef's Table" was exceptional.
Food in the Windjammer buffet was OK with a wide selection of average quality. Al La Carte dining in Cascades , or dining in the speciality restaurants suited us better. Room service was available for breakfast and all day snacks, with only a $3.95 surcharge from midnight - 5.30am. Otherwise it was free.

We bought a wine package for meals which worked out to be good value. Online your only option is a wine package which includes a selection of International Wines but once aboard (in the Australian based cruises anyway) they also offer an Australian/ New Zealand wine package. I would get that one next time.
Alcohol was reasonably priced with the Cocktail of the Day priced at $7.50 and you got to keep the glass. Nice touch.
Duty free alcohol was cheap but the duty free fragrance choices were very limited and frankly fragrance prices were cheaper at the discount chemist in Newcastle (in most cases) and the range was better.
Remember to take a power adapter for your razor and camera charger as the cabin stateroom power points are U.S. and don't suit Australian appliances.
Negatives?? You needed your running shoes to get to the elevators before the doors closed, entertainment was pretty average and some days there was not much to do. I would have liked more trivia, board games, card games (something other than Bridge) dance classes for single travellers (my husband stayed in the stateroom for much of the time) and demonstrations/ wine appreciation courses/ cooking classes, etc. Catered well for the young at heart but many activities started after 10pm, too late for me. Bingo was also very expensive. The movies were also pretty average with many old movies played often. You could pay to view some newer titles in your room but at $11.95 each I didn't bother. Movie selections in the onboard cinema were disappointing.
Overall a nice break away from the rat race. We are already planning our next one.

We had 2 nights with a group of friends - some experience cruisers , some novices and some never cruised with Royal Caribbean. I enjoyed the layout of the ship and found her easy to get around with well located lifts and public areas. The cruising experience was great as the Radiance in 2 days managed to give guests a taste of cruising life. From the lifeboat drill to the sail away party to the farewell show and seventies night most aspects of a cruise was included. In the day there was Bingo , horse racing , trivia along with pure relaxation. The Buffets wer bountiful and even an on deck barbeque. I found little time to sleep in case I missed something. Two days was not long eough as we were just starting to unwind and relaxrting to unwind and relax.

A slightly disapointing journey with entertainment being the same from Sydney to Perth and Perth to sydney. Bobbie, cruise director iced a cake WOW Twice.Trivial pursuit and Bridge talks on creative writing . Not exciting. Optional excursions expensive with a day trip to Ubud Bai promising a market and a trip to a gold place no market had been cancelled some time ago so we wandered around the grubby streets for 2 hours and no time for the gold place.Staff werre great ship very clean no toiletries hand lotion etc in cabin.On the days when we were at sea for 2 days and it was cold . No extra entertainment put on Films were The Muppets Sherlock Holmes. We were a older adult population on board. They were repeated twice.Over all not an exciting cruise one I would never go on again.

Had an awesome time. Set up by cruiseguru this was a funpacked experience of a lifetime. Ship was amazing. Nothing to fault. Couldnt have asked for a better time. Thank you cruiseguru & Radiance of the seas!
