We have enjoyed a number of cruises, two on Rhapsody of the Seas, one on Radiance of the Seas by Royal Caribbean and the other on a ship I would rather not mention because any publicity is considered to be good publicity. We have had a wonderful time and been looked after by first class crews. Our most memorable and most talked about, publicly and privately were on Rhapsody and we would sail on her again at a moments' notice. The quality of the ships fittings and fixtures is undeniably excellent, and the food is delectable,, personally I couldn't fault the service and food in the dining rooms, especially the salmon (cooked any way), my husband was more adventurous and chose something different every meal, also we were able to have a cheese-board in lieu of sweets, although the lemon meringue pie was tested and . enjoyed immensely. We took great pleasure in joining in the deck-games and competed like teenagers for the thrill of a medal for our efforts. We have taken up beading jewelry since we came home and still do a series of easy exercises shown to us by the crew. We waited many years before our first cruise, we now can't wait to go on our next one and frantically save from our pension each fortnight and check out all the specials to see how we can manage the next trip, every competition is entered with gusto, and we are sure we will manage another voyage one way or the other. Great cruise, just booked another one tonight..Food wonderful, staff fantastic, entertainment first class!! Just loved it all we flew to Hawaii had a week then sailed from hawaii to Tahati, Bora Bora, Moorea, Auckland & then flew home to Sydney..Would recommend Caribbean Cruises to any one...for the Time of Your Life!

Having the pleasure of cruising on this ship before, we were extremely curious about the new refurbishment that was done in Singapore. We were the first to experience all the new additions, but couldn't imagine how they could make a beautiful, elegant, stunning ship any better than it always was. Well in a nutshell, our first impression was that, it had lost "The Wow Factor". The first time we cruised, we couldnt believe everywhere we went, we couldnt keep our jaws from dragging saying "Wow". This time however, we feel that they haven't done the ship any justice at all in their new decor especially in the Centrum, the style looks like something between the Victorian Era and the 60's Era. Everyone commented how awful the carpet was, we just felt that it used to be very elegant and classy and the new decor is far from that. The new addition of the flying trapeze hanging from the roof of the 8 storey Centrum or attrium left us very cold and bored, yes bored, for the 15 night cruise we only had one yes one show, but constantly had everyone intrigued with the performers "practicing" for 12 or so of our 15 day cruise, surely they could have practiced somewhere else before they got onboard, wherever professional aerialists normally practice!! So finally on the last night after we had seen the show in dress rehearsal for the previous 2 nights all we could say was "groundhog day". The downside of the cruise was that after being in drydock there were so many things not working, and lots of passengers took to the crew winging and whining, what did they expect!!! We are Royal Caribbean devotees so a few problems did not deter us from enjoying the beautiful ship and the best service anywhere on the ocean!!! The crew are second to none they are just so friendly and will do anything for you, that was something that thankfully had not changed. The food was as with all of our Royal Caribbean cruises really good, I couldn't believe some passengers were actually complaining about it!! There was a huge variety at either the buffet style restaurant (The Windjammer) and also at the 2 level a la carte restaurant (Edelweiss). I believe it was a good move to add 3 of the lines specialty restaurants to Rhapsody, now incorporating Chops Grille, Giovanni's Table and Izumi, all 3 restaurants also having excellent food. Some passengers of course complain about having to pay an additional price for dining at these venues where their fares include dining but the average price is around $20 per head for a 4 to 5 course feast, I think a small price to pay for something a bit different to the norm. We find on a longer cruise like we were on, it is good to have an alternative or two just to have a change of scenery or culinary delights. Izumi is excellent and we met the fellow who has consulted with Royal Caribbean and was onboard to oversee Rhapsody's new Izumi into the fleet. We had dined at Izumi last year onboard Radiance after her refurbishment and wasnt disappointed this time. The cabins had been completly refurbished with new furniture and fittings and the bathroom was completely renovated. We were disappointed that they didnt refurbish the Solarium Pool which is the indoor, glass roof adults only, swimming pool, the only change in there was the addition of the Park Cafe, which was much better than the previous Solarium Cafe, much more variety and much healthier options. The main pool deck has been renovated with new teak style flooring, which was so hot to walk on, would rather the old flooring which was the acrylic grass like fabric in their fabulous company logo colour, sky blue, it again gave it the wow factor where now it just looks like any other ships pool deck. Even after the changes, we still love the ship and would highly recommend anyone to take a cruise on Rhapsody, we're sure you will love it too.

It was the best holiday my family ever experienced even got my 15 year old that never wants to travel with us. Now he says when are we going on a cruise again their is something for everyone, Cant wait to go on it again after the upgrade. Also another great feature is the indoor pool which p and o dont have so if traveling in winter the indoor pool is a must, also the prepaid softdrink package great, service everything was great we been on two of the RCI fleet and this one is a favourite so far. You will not be disappointed
