Considering we had 4 children onthis trip I can not but praise the staff for the caring way they treated the kids always helpful. There was so much forthem to do we hardly saw them even though we wanted to they had so much to do. The crew were excellent nothing was to much to ask they help in every way.Food was fantastic catering to all tastes and preferences and plenty of it. the evening dinning experience was excellent.Over all even though I said I was not happy with being in a tin can on the ocean I had a fabulous time. Can highly recommend in fact I am booking another cruise.

We cruised from Singapore to Hong Kong and really could not fault anything. The entertainment was excellent, staff extremely accomodating, our dining experiences were faultless. We had a great time and I would recommend Voyager of the Seas to anyone thinking of a cruising holiday.

I have been reading some of the other reviews earlier in the year and in my opinion some may be warranted, however our cabin staff was very helpful, all the bar staff in any bar on the ship were always courteous treat people as you want to be treated and they will always smile and assist.
Dinning in the main restaurant we were always met with great big smiles and the service was good looking at the numbers of plates they turn around; again our experience was ruined by RUDE Annoying people especially one lady that would accept the table she was placed at; NO more said about that person. Windjammer while we only ate their once it was not the food it was the out of control brats that parents leave alone so choose an adult cruise only or rude table huggers. Giovani Table Italian cuisine it is not and this would have been the worst service lack of staff but when the food finally arrived it was ok. If you like great food then visit Izumi. We had a balcony room and would do it again. Thank you VOS and it staff.

Returning to Sydney on Voyager Of The Seas from Singapore, October 2015 illustrated just how incompetent senior administrative staff can be at Royal Caribbean....hopeless would be an appropriate description.

Embarkation at the Singapore Cruise Terminal consisted of a three to four hour struggle with seemingly endless lines of people snaking around the terminal.

None of the apparently young and under-trained staff had any idea of how to cope. They didn't appear to be directed nor supported by anyone with corporate seniority.

To add to the chaos, the public address system at the terminal seems to have been designed by a rank amateur, it was useless. However, I tend to think the P.A design is an issue the Singapore terminal owners need to evaluate.

"Disgraceful" is an understatement when it comes to the way elderly people were treated where limited mobility was clearly obvious. For the most part they were ignored.

We became friendly with a young lady and her new husband, (they were on a honeymoon) which is fine, except the lady had spinal surgery not long ago and was using crutches at the time

She was clearly distressed and uncomfortable with pain. We were told that after some time standing in a que and shuffling along with the multitude, she was offered a wheelchair, but when the issue of hand luggage was raised she was in essence told to deal with it herself !

Subsequently, the Voyager Captain apologised for the shambles (this doesn't appear to be the first instance at Singapore) via the shipboard room video link, providing a number of reasons for the delays, confusion etc. some of which were blamed on slow immigration dept processes and Royal Caribbean failure to anticipate early arrivals at the terminal, but no comment on the utterly stupid plan of trying to embark 6,000 to 7,000 passengers onto two ships through the same terminal almost simultaneously.

That didn't cut any ice with me.

I understand two passenger bags were also accidentally ditched into the bay, while other luggage was sent to the wrong ship, although I can't verify that as correct.

Prior to leaving Sydney for Singapore (by air), I noticed that our allocated cabin included a door to the adjoining cabin.

Experience has shown that such doors are a problem with sound insulation, so I spoke with someone at our travel agent and they contacted the Sydney Royal Caribbean agents. The person on the other end of the line told us the door was in fact some kind of integrated structure linking both doors of adjacent cabins which was utilised only when required and was not the usual connecting door fitted into a wall. That description turned out to be a load of rubbish, conversations being easily heard from our side. So I can safely assume that the information we were given was from someone at RCCL who was deliberately lying, or ignorant and was too lazy to follow up on my question, or both.

Having said that though, the cabin appeared to be almost brand new and spotless.

On the journey to Sydney we were supposed to dock at Brisbane for a day, which is fine except it wasn't Brisbane at all, rather an industrial terminal 25 Km from the CBD ! The return shuttle fare to the city was $US-50.00 per person payable only through the Royal Caribbean Sea-Pass system, a payment system which has been demonstrated as full of glitches, such as unexplained charges and difficulty in obtaining refunds of those charges.

But, and here's the upside to the saga, having crunched the numbers, the cost of cruising can be just a fraction of the all up cost of local travel, accommodation, high quality dining and entertainment within Australia

Overall the Voyager on board crew do a first class job at all levels, although I'm not too sure I would look forward to any more Royal Caribbean "experiences".
