The ship is luxurious but the decor is a bit too dark and quirky. It was great value for money at less than $1000 each for a balcony stateroom and all of the staff that we encountered were very courteous and helpful. Wine prices were excessive for some very ordinary Australian wines and WIFI connection cost was ridiculous. We travelled outside of school holidays to avoid the rampaging children reported on other cruises, but a number of parents did not worry about taking their children out of school and letting them run in packs around the ship unsupervised. A dinner in the Nouveau Restaurant was well worth the cost. Overall a great experience despite the problems created by the unsupervised children. Carnival offers the best value for money of any cruise line sailing the South Pacific and I will be very happy to sail with them again.

Spirit is a great ship, it is what you make it. Relaxing or on the go non stop! There is something for everyone.
Staff are great. Beer prices are on par with city prices $7.50 not a huge range , cocktails are $10:50 great selection.
Nouveau restaurant is worth the $40 per person, food is outstanding across the board.
Spa is pricey but you expect that.

a wonderful relaxing holiday on a floating 5 star resort with a fine dining experience unequalled in my many travels
but if you like to tipple a beer or wine make sure you are prepared to pay over the top prices
carnival has a captured market on their ship (Spirit) and they take advantage of that situation by charging exhorbitan prices for their "duty free" alcohol - $8.50 for a beer - thats pure gred -
abstain and drink their wonderful coffee and cordials which are readily available 24/7 for
free - no doubt i will book another cruise with Carnival and no doubt i will abstain again from giving them my hard earned dollar for a plastic glass of beer - cheers
Carnival Spirit only way to go

What a fantastic experience, one week before cruising our group received emails, we had all been upgraded to State Rooms, ours "my wife and I" was on deck 8 next door to the Captain, so was nice and quite. From the moment we stepped on to the ship, the service and friendliness was superb. We had studied the ship online and were still not prepared for this experience. Great dining, great shows, there is always something to do. We discovered a bar/ lounge the 2nd last day of the cruise that we had not found before.
Dining: in the Empire Dining Room, Dessi "Helllooow" classic. Great service from Garry and his team, fantastic why bother dining anywhere else on the ship.
Stateroom: Good sized room, spotlessly clean with towel creatures on your bed every night.
Shore excursions, we went on to all of the three Islands and that was a good experience, but if we had of stayed on the ship it would not have mattered.
Medical: I had to get a badly cut tow repaired, due to the only inconsiderate passenger on the ship, the medical staff were great and funny, it was worth going to the Medical Centre.
Entertainment: There is so much to do with stage shows with dancing girls, to comedy or bingo, trivia, karaoke and Singers on various parts of the ship, if you get bored there is something seriously wrong.
The only bad part of the whole cruise was having to leave, We cannot wait until the next one
Thankyou to Carnival Spirit for a fantastic holiday, it has been our best yet.
