Overview

Like her sister ship, the sturdy Azamara Quest is a mid-sized beauty with a deck plan well-suited to the needs of modern voyagers. You'll never feel crowded in the comfortable social spaces of our bars, restaurants, lounges, Casino and Cabaret. Nor will you feel like a sardine jammed in around the pool, where our attentive staff is always ready to offer a complimentary bottled water, soft drink or fresh towel. Staterooms feature modern amenities, furnishings, and European linens. And one of the greatest features of this ship is the large number of staterooms with verandas. There's nothing better than opening your door to the fresh sea air and views. Azamara's friendly ships are an altogether wonderful place to call your home away from home!

Dining & Wine

SpecialtyDining
Azamara proudly features two specialty restaurants, Prime C and Aqualina. Specialty dining is complimentary for suite guests (Club World Owner's Suites, Club Ocean Suites and Club Continent Suites). For others, there is a $25 per-person cover. Reservations are highly recommended.

  • Aqualina
At Aqualina, you will find some of Italys most celebrated dishes. But you will also find contemporary inventive cuisine. Start with lobster ravioli, followed by arugula and radicchio with prosciutto chips, and a Venetian seafood platter. You will not be able to say no to our famous desserts: marsala custard, lemon souffle, or tiramisu. Our chefs love to be inspired, so after an on shore visit to a local market, you can also expect a delectable dish so local, you will feel like you are not onboard anymore.
  • Prime C
Steaks cooked to perfection. Crab cakes with remoulade. Lobster bisque. Lamb, game hens and seafood. And last but certainly not least, our famous mini cinnamon-sugar donuts with dipping sauces for dessert. (Yes, they are as good as they sound.) But at Prime C, you are in for more than an array of delectable dining. Expect a marvelous evening in a warm wood-paneled ambiance with stunning views and lush decor. And, if our chef has made a visit to a local market while we’re in port, you will also have an authentic local dish to look forward to, made just for you.
  • The Wine Cellar
You will be hard-pressed to find such a collection of limited production, small label and rare vintage wines anywhere on the high seas! And with vintages from France to California, and Argentina to South Africa, you are sure to find a wine to suit your palate. And your journey. Our knowledgeable sommeliers can help you pick the perfect wines for your evening meal and your voyage and be sure to join our Wine Corner gatherings in the Mosaic Cafe, perfect for discovering and enjoying new wines and benefiting from the thoughtful guidance of our sommelier.

Main Restaurant

  • Discover the world through dishes and flavors from the places we visit. Whether it is our Destination Immersion dinner buffet or the Destination Immersion cuisine on our dinner menu, give your dining a little local flavor and enjoy on shore tastes onboard! Of course, you will also enjoy a wide variety of nightly selections such as filet mignon with black truffle sauce. With its elegant yet lively dining and renewed decor, it is easy to see why this restaurant is a hands-down favorite, the culinary heart of our ships. Gather at Discoveries Bar for drinks before or after dinner.

Casual Dining

  • Windows Cafe
Take in the fresh breeze at an outdoor table in Windows Cafe, our casual buffet offering made-to-order breakfasts and a large variety of lunch and dinner options. Choices change daily and include fresh sushi, stir-fries and pastas, salads, smoked lox and other cold fish, a carving station and sumptuous desserts.
There's more: Don't miss the buffets! Indian, Mexican, Spanish, Italian, and other regional cuisine. Our international crew takes pride in their native cuisine and it shows.
  • Pool Grill
Dine poolside on made-to-order fish-kabobs, burgers, fries and salads.
  • Mosaic Cafe
Sink into a comfortable chair at the Mosaic Cafe and enjoy an espresso or hot tea with fresh biscotti, tea sandwiches or scones-on the house, of course. Centrally located on deck five, the Mosaic's congenial service and atmosphere make it a favorite gathering spot for conversation, cards and trivia games.
  • Looking Glass
Mid-afternoon is tea-time in the Looking Glass Lounge. Refresh yourself with elegant pastries, hand-made tea sandwiches, and tea or champagne while enjoying the beautiful views.

  • Room service
The best time for room service? Whenever you say it is, 24-hours a day.
  • Order from the full breakfast menu between 6:30 AM and 10:00 AM, and we'll deliver at your appointed time. Lunch and dinner room service features a menu of hearty soups, fresh salads, gourmet sandwiches, pizzas and desserts.

Dining: What (And What Not) To Wear

In all of our dining rooms, we encourage guests to follow a resort casual dress code, following good taste and common sense.

  • Bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps, bathing suits, shorts, and jeans are not allowed in the main dining room or two specialty restaurants. (Khakis and other trousers are fine.)
  • When dining at Windows Cafe, guests must wear footwear and a cover-up or shirt.
  • In Prime C, Aqualina and Discoveries Restaurant, many guests enjoying dressing up. Formal evening wear (tuxedos and gowns) is not expected. We recommend that men bring a sport coat or suit; this attire comes in handy for evenings onshore as well. For women, dining attire includes dresses, skirts, blouses with pants and capris, and other appropriate attire.

  • Body Sculpt Boot Camp: Offered by the spa, this get-fit boot camp includes individual analysis with a personal trainer and four supervised group workouts.

Acupuncture

A voyage is a great time to experience the benefits of this ancient Chinese system of healing. Acupuncture strengthens the immune system, fights disease and controls pain while dissolving accumulated stress and restoring the body's natural balance and energy.

Azamara's acupuncturists are experienced practitioners licensed by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. A variety of treatments are available for pain management, smoking cessation, weight loss, stress reduction and more. After just one session, you may notice immediate benefits in circulation, heart, stomach, skin and mood. Please inquire at the Spa for scheduling and pricing.

Specialized services include:

  • Acu-Lift: A safe, painless and effective rejuvenating treatment for the face and body. This treatment improves muscle tone, increases circulation and cellular metabolism, and stimulates the natural production of collagen and elastin. You'll see a more youthful look in moments, and improvements in skin texture and smoothness.
  • Nutritional Consultation: These hour-long nutritional consultations start with a thorough investigation into your diet and lifestyle. You'll come away with a personalized diet plan based on current nutritional research and a Chinese medical diagnosis. Personal physical concerns and constitutional sensitivities will be addressed, and you'll have a pathway to better health.
  • Our acupuncture program at sea can also address chronic issues with supplemental nutritional advice. Only the purest, highest quality, chemical-free herbs are used to create these formulas. Most of the herbs used in production are organically grown to ensure safety and efficacy.

    Lounges and Entertainment

Vacation is a time to explore. It's also a time to relax. Before or after a day of onshore discovery, or when sailing between destinations, we've got plenty of options for both.

Discoveries Lounge. Located just outside the main restaurant on both ships, this congenial bar is a great place for pre- and post-dinner conversation and drinks. Relax with full bar service and the entertaining banter of Azamara's friendly bartenders.

Mosaic Cafe and Mosaic@Night. This centrally located coffee and tea bar is a favorite onboard gathering place at all hours of day and night. A great place to grab a steaming latte and fresh baked breads and pastries if you're heading out early in the morning also perfect for afternoon tea, pastries and lively trivia games. After dinner, Mosaic@Night is a terrific place to socialize with live music and a selection of fine liqueurs.

Looking Glass Lounge. Floor to ceiling views and Murano glass lighting set the mood for this elegant evening club featuring live music or recorded dance tunes. Occasionally the Looking Glass features special local music and dance performances, culinary classes and other onboard demonstrations.

Cabaret Lounge. Enjoy live performances of professional full-stage musical revues, classical soloists, bands and other entertainment in a cabaret nightclub with a full bar and cozy tables. You could see as many as three distinctly different shows while onboard. And considering the cost of theater and entertainment tickets back home, isn't that nice?

Casino Luxe. Test your skill, or prove to your shipmates that beginner's luck is real. The Casino will keep you entertained with blackjack, roulette, slot machines, and three-card poker games. Group and individual gaming lessons are offered at no charge-a great way to learn gaming strategy! And for all you sports fans, the Casino features a flat-screen TV and full bar, making it a very pleasant place to keep up with your favorite teams. The Casino accepts payment by key card, cash, credit card, travelers checks and foreign currency.

Poolside Parties. Don't think of missing Azamara's famous poolside buffet and party, held at least once on every cruise (weather permitting). Colorful decor and linen-draped tables, a fabulous buffet feast, and boutique wines on the house make this an event like no other. Dance late into the night as the live band kicks in after dinner.

      Shops:

    • The Journey Shop/The Quest Shop: Sundries, casual wear and swim fashions, sunglasses, accessories, music and shipboard keepsakes.
    • Indulgences. An exquisite selection of fine jewelry, watches, and other pieces from iconic jewelry-makers. There's something here to delight even the most discriminating tastes.
    • The Photo Shop. Camera supplies including batteries and digital memory cards. The shop displays photos available for purchase of the previous day's events, taken by the ship's roving photographer.
    • Le Boutique. A discrete shopping experience with a focus on fine jewelry and gifts. Located by the concierge desk, guests enjoy personalized shopping with one-on-one assistance from the concierge.

    Onboard

Refurbished in late 2012 and early 2013, the Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest feature sparkling accommodations, 24-hour room service, a variety of dining experiences and bars, a full-service spa, fitness center and pool. Guests also enjoy evening entertainment in the Casino, Cabaret Lounge and Mosaic@Night. Complimentary daytime classes include yoga, nutrition and fitness instruction, travel seminars, cooking demonstrations and other activities tailored to specific regions. Three onboard shops offer everything from sundries and logo wear to exquisite jewelry and one-of-a-kind gifts.

Azamara Club Cruises's two boutique-style ships carry just under 700 guests, with a one-to-two staff to guest ratio. And you'll love the fact that 93% of the staterooms offer ocean views and 68% have a private veranda.

Azamara Club Cruises staff and crew

Destination-rich travel experiences bring guests onboard, but Azamara's outgoing staff and crew bring them back. Service is prompt and attentive, and the staff and crew quickly learn guest's tastes and preferences. The onboard atmosphere is genuinely friendly, with senior officers and crew mingling easily with guests. Azamara's club-like community appeals to couples, singles and grown families.

Azamara Cruises are operated by two boutique ships of less than 700 guests each, the Azamara Quest and the Azamara Journey. Azamara Cruises were ranked second among the Top Large Ship Cruise Lines in the Travel+Leisure 2015 World's Best Awards reader's survey. Azamara Journey will have sailings departing from Australia in 2017 and 2018.

With their small, elegant ships, Azamara Cruises have distinguished themselves as being the boutique hotels of the sea. The cruise line introduced AzAmazing Evenings events - a special complimentary night of entertainment onshore during each voyage. Also complimentary throughout your cruise are select standard spirits, international beers and wines and gratuities for housekeeping, dining and bar staff are included in your voyage fare. Azamara also specialises in longer stays, more overnights and night touring on their voyages.

Azamara cruises to Asia, Europe, and the Caribbean. To help find your ideal Azamara Club cruise, use our Cruise Finder tool where you can filter by destination, date and ship.

We usually travel Silverseas and thought that this would be the El Cheapo version. It may have been to a minor extent with poorer standard drinks and spirits, no walkin robe , smaller bathroom and no butler, but there was plenty of room, no intrusive butler and the drinks were often mixed in cocktails so their quality was immaterial. On the very strong plus side was a complete lack of formality with none of the dreaded formal nights and a relaxed happy complement both of passengers and staff. Food was good and pretty much every line ends up serving much the same stuff eventually --always avoid the"lobster" on cruises a tiny dried up creature whose mother must have been on thalidomide.
I have been on a 35 year quest to find the worst most indri nkable standard coffee in the world and it was ironic that I found it on the Quest!
Would I travel Azamara rather than Silverseas next time?
    Bloody Oath!

On 24th April my partner and I embarked on a 14 day repositioning cruise from Mumbai to Cairo on Azamara Quest. This was our second cruise on "Quest". Azamara has become our favourite cruise line for several reasons - the overall ambience and professional and genuinely happy crew - nothing is too much trouble. The complimentary inclusions of water, soft drinks, and wine at lunch and dinner. The top class entertainment. The excellent & well priced shore excursions.
Last year we were on the ship in Nagasaki, Japan when the Tsunami hit and we new how professionally Azamara and the Quest crew operated in an emergency. So despite the ship having endured an engine fire causing the cancellation of the cruise from Singapore to Mumbai we had no hesitation in joining the cruise. On boarding the ship we were welcomed with open arms (and champagne) by a crew eager to resume normal duties after 3 weeks of maintenance. Due to some cancellations the ship was only half full and we immediately upgraded to a suite at minimal additional cost. This entitled us to the services of a butler - a charming young Mauritian who attended to our every need. We enjoyed breakfast served on our lovely balcony every morning, afternoon tea and evening cocktails from our complimentary bar and a selection of horsd'ouvres. We struggled to find room to enjoy the complimentary fine dining in the specialty restaurants (usually $25p.p.) Aqualina and Prime C. The entertainment was first class led by Russ Thomas Grieve one of the most talented Cruise Directors it has been our pleasure to meet. Russ often teamed up with the Hotel Directo Ryszard Gusmann & Executve Chef Fabio D'Agosta to demonstrate their culinary talents too!
One of the joys of a repositioning cruise are the number of sea days enabling us to enjoy the ships many facilties. We started every day with the complimentary Qui Gong classes (a static form of Tai Chi) followed by a relaxing session in the Thalassotherapy spa private area(complimentary for suite guests).
As members of Azamaras loyalty program"Le Club Voyage" we were also invited to a number of cocktail parties where we were greeted with genuine warmth each time by Captain Leif Karlsson and his senior officers.
Passengers are welcomed on board Azamara Quest as family. Every effort is made to accommodate individual needs. There were approximately 80 Australian & New Zealand passengers on board. We were amazed that the ship had organised a special Anzac Day Dawn service for us - complete in every detail - a most moving experience.
Safety was the highest priority at all times - traversing the Gulf of Aden we had been drilled in emergency procedures in case of pirate attack. Ths drill had to be put into action once - but there was no panic due to the professionalism of all the crew. A few days before we were due to dock in Sokhna there was another incident in Cairo and the guest relations staff were very helpful in contacting our hotel to ensure our safety.
Azamara Quest will undergo a major refit in November and we look forward to booking another cruise next year.

We were a little worried about sailing on a small ship being rough in the open sea as we had previously only sailed on 2500+ passenger ships. But Azamara handled the waves well and the overall experience on Azamara Quest has been our best cruise to date. We will definitely seek out Azamara Club Cruises for our next cruise experience to other parts of the world in the near future.

Our cruise between Singapore and Hong Kong taking in Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam on Azamara Quest was as good as 5 star luxury at a really affordable price.
All the tips were included, free bottled water, free shuttle services from the ship to the downtown areas and fabulous, specially selected wines each day when dining.
Our verandah stateroom was spacious enough. The bathroom was a little small but the shower had good pressure so overall it was practical for our use.
The dark blue and white decor gave the cabin a regal but at the same time a casual feel. The queen sized bed was really comfortable.
We slept fabulously well each night and enjoyed room service breakfast in bed almost every morning.
Consistently fabulous, high quality food was presented beautifully at each meal. The standard was better than anything we had experienced previously. Different wines were offered free at each meal as well as half priced beer. Alcoholic drinks outside the dining rooms were charged at reasonable prices.
The staff were always very professional and friendly and the service efficient. The crew really seemed to enjoy working on this ship.
Being a smaller ship we were able to dock closer to each city than the larger ships in port. As well as this great time saving advantage Azamara has overnight stays in ports. On our sailing those were Bangkok, Hanoi (Halong Bay) and Ho Chi Minh City.
This allowed us to have extensive experiences in each port. The long days outside the ship immersed in the various cultures and mingling amongst those fascinating Asian faces meant we didn't miss not having the big cabaret shows that the big ships need to entertain passengers.
This cruise on Azamara Quest provided a cruising experience we will never forget and the next one is constantly in our dreams.
