We enjoyed everything that we tried on board,, although we did miss a bit due to what I thought was poor communication. Staff were friendly, food acceptable in dining rooms. I think it would be a good idea to give a briefing of the ships activities when guests are all together for the safety talk. Our balcony room was bigger and more comfortable than I expected but the bathroom was a bit tired and dated.

Why would anyone want to pay such a high price for such an inferior ship when there are lots of cheaper cruises on more highly rated ships eg. on Celebrity and Royal Caribbean?

The Pacific Jewel needs new beds in the 4-berth cabins! I went on a cruise last year on the Pacific Dawn, and the beds were so comfy, we slept in nearly every day ... but on the Jewel ... my group of friends and I woke up with sore backs/necks/hips EVERY DAY. Our group had booked 2 x 4-berth cabins, and we all said the same thing.

As for the Dome, it's only really half a dome. It's like it had been 'cut in half' and didn't have a good atmosphere at night.

As for cleanliness on the ship, I was impressed with how meticulous staff were in ensuring hand rails, handles, etc. were cleaned on a daily basis.
