COVID-19 Cruise Suspensions

Please see below the current suspension dates and compensation offerings for a range of cruise lines.  Please note, this information is constantly changing and the information below is accurate as at 9.50am AEST Wednesday 8 July.  Please find your cruise line in the table below and, if your booking has been impacted, follow the steps outlined to request compensation. 

If you have completed the compensation form directly with your cruise line you do not need to contact us.
The cruise lines will action your request and notify us when your refund/Future Cruise Credit has been processed.

Please note, as per our standard terms and conditions, any cruise that is cancelled outright will be subject to a $110 per person administration fee, which will be deducted from any refund due. This fee is charged to cover the costs associated with making the original booking, following up with the travel operators and arranging a cash refund to you, less any operator fees if applicable. Alternatively, if you choose to instead simply make changes to your booking, such as moving to a new sailing date, Cruise Guru will only withhold a $50 administration fee per booking.

Under consumer law, travel agents are entitled to charge a reasonable fee for these services, and our fees are some of the lowest in the industry.  If you would like to consult our full list of terms and conditions, you can do so on our website by visiting our terms and conditions page. * All dates and cruise line compensation is correct as at Wednesday 8 July 9.50am AEST. Cruise Guru is processing all requests in travel date order. We will contact you with a confirmation of the cancellation once processed.  Future cruise credits are offered as a % amount of the base fare not including port charges and taxes.  These port charges and taxes will be refunded to you separately. Please note, future cruise credits are non-transferrable, cannot be used towards the deposit but can be put towards the balance of the base fare of a future cruise. Port charges and taxes will be charged separately. Lift and Shift offers are for effected suspension sailings only. Please check with your Cruise Guru consultant as to whether your sailing date is applicable.

If you were due to travel on Norwegian Sun between 13 August and 18 October you will receive 100% refund of your deposit only.  You do not need to submit anything for this to be processed and refunds will be transferred back to the original form of payment once the funds have been received from Norwegian.

If you were due to travel on Norwegian Jewel in Australia between 25 Sep 20 and 27 Feb 21 your booking will be cancelled and refunded and a 10% Future Cruise Credit will automatically be applied to your past passenger number.  You do not need to action anything for your booking.

If your booking is due to travel outside the above dates and has been impacted it has automatically been cancelled and the applicable Future Cruise Credit will be applied to your past passenger number. For bookings departing up to and including 14 May, refund requests must be submitted by no later than 15 April 2020.

For bookings departing between 15 May and 30 June, refund requests must be submitted by no later than 8 May 2020.

For booking departing 1 August to 30 September (and Insignia until 26 October), refund requests must be submitted by no later than 1 July 2020.

If your booking has not yet been paid in full your deposit will be converted into a Future Cruise Credit (with the exception of any booking made on the $1pp deposit offer which is non-refundable) and you will receive AU$100 shipboard credit per cabin for your next booking.
