Aurora is a classic ocean going vessel with an elegant tiered stern and long bow. At her heart is a water feature which forms the centrepiece of her atrium – one of her signature features. You’ll also find a range of bars for all tastes, a cinema, theatre and an outdoor pool with retractable skydome roof. Dining highlights include The Glass House and The Beach House.
Dining to suit all tastes
Dining highlights include The Glass House and The Beach House. When it comes to bars Aurora offers a variety to suit every mood including her Crows Nest bar, which offers a great view of every port along the way (and the oceans in between)
Be active, or just relax and enjoy
Aurora is perfectly designed for walking or jogging with the opportunity to do just that around her circumference thanks to the broad teak promenade deck. Or you can elect to just relax in her spa, whilst your children are entertained in one of the on-board childrens’ clubs.
A classic ocean going vessel
Aurora is designed as a classic ocean going vessel and is therefore ideally suited to world cruising. At other times in the year Aurora offers a full schedule of port calls across the Mediterranean, Baltic & Fjords, Canary Islands and is the ship of choice for our transatlantic USA & Canada cruises.
As the sun goes down, Aurora lights up! With everyone dressed for dinner and ready to be sociable, you’ll find there’s a great atmosphere. Knowing that there are many options for the night ahead, all just a step away, is invigorating. So whether you start the night with a drink on your own balcony or head to one of the many bars to meet friends, you know every night holds numerous possibilities.
Take a seat in the lavish surroundings of the Curzon Theatre to take in a show. Discuss your day ashore and make plans for the next in one of the many bars. Watch cabaret or comedians in Carmen’s show lounge. Take in the latest blockbuster in The Playhouse cinema. Enjoy the excitement of the casino. And dance your way through the decades with tunes from the 60’s to the present day in Masquerade.
After brandy and liqueurs in one of our bars or lounges, why not check out the main evening show? And when we say show we mean it. Aurora, all boast theatres and show-lounges that wouldn’t be out of place:
- Curzon Theatre
- The Playhouse
Wander around and you could find a late night cabaret, a talented vocalist, or join our hotly contested trivia quiz. On certain evenings, the usual atmosphere becomes even more electric. Starting with the Captain’s Gala Cocktail Party, you’ll enjoy a variety of special evenings. It may be a spontaneous barbecue on deck, the glamor of Casino Night, the Black and White Ball or Carnival Rio Night!
Feeling lucky? Then head for the casino. Feel like a laugh? Then see a comedian. Feeling energetic? Then come dancing with P&O Cruises. You’ll find just about every style of dance on offer on our dance floors from disco to ballroom.
Two things that night owls will find most reassuring is the fact that our bars remain open and buzzing into the small hours and, if they have children, that there’s a full range of night-time entertainment to keep them busy too or a Night Nursery.
