Sydney, Australia
Sydney is Australia's showcase: the oldest settlement, the largest and most thriving city, the cultural melting pot. It curves around idyllic Port Jackson, where sandstone cliffs and bright islands complement the Opera House and Harbor Bridge. Overview

Celebrity Solstice is one of our more decorated ships at sea. So it's no wonder that it's full of "firsts." Like the first Lawn Club at sea. The first Hot Glass ShowSM. The first cruise line to have 5 women, also known as "the Leading LadiesSM" redesign, and redecorate the staterooms. Some other things that set the Celebrity Solstice cruise ship apart are its specialty restaurants. Our passion for outstanding cuisine has taken the restaurants, the food and the overall dining experience to a whole new level in the cruising world. But staterooms and specialty restaurants are only part of this ship's charm. Celebrity Solstice also has the Canyon Ranch SpaClub and fitness center, where you can pamper yourself with spa treatments or push yourself in a workout with one of our trainers. If only life on land was as good as life on Celebrity Solstice.

Ship Highlights

Canyon Ranch SpaClub
Relax and rejuvenate in our serene spa at sea. Experience the unique services of Canyon Ranch in a breathtaking setting-aboard Celebrity's modern luxury ships. Enhance your vacation with a complete wellness and lifestyle program that increases resilience, restores serenity, and helps you feel rejuvenated.

Cellar Masters
Try a bold collection of both familiar and unknown wines from around the world in this inviting wine bar. To help you explore, we feature the state-of-the-art Enomatic wine-by-the-glass dispensing system. It will pour your choice directly from the bottle in a 1-ounce, 2.5-ounce or 5-ounce portion as you swipe you SeaPass card. Our Sommeliers will offer further insight into the fine art of wine selection.

Lawn Club
There's absolutely nothing like it. A freshly manicured lawn on the highest deck of Celebrity Solstice. This is The Lawn Club. Enjoy casual outdoor activities in a decidedly Country Club atmosphere, and let the grass between your toes take you places no cruise has gone before.

Sky Observation Lounge
A quiet refuge by day for gazing over the sea with a cocktail at hand. At night, the space comes to life with live music and dancing. In addition, special interactive theme parties include Live@Sky-music and dances of the 40s with a modern twist-and Motown, featuring funky soul with a live band, singers and dancers.

The Hot Glass Show
Don't just appreciate art, experience it. Witness the incredible, gorgeous art of glassblowing with intimate live demonstrations. Watch and learn from professional glassblowers in this popular, one-of-a-kind exhibition from the renowned Corning Museum of Glass.

Silk Harvest Restaurant
A subtle taste of Far East delicacies meant to share. As the first Asian restaurant in the Celebrity fleet, Silk Harvest takes you on a journey to the Far East, offering authentic Asian hospitality perfectly paired with a contemporary blend of Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese cuisine. Here you enjoy family-style dining in a warm and friendly setting.

Main Restaurant
A grand stage for dining. The Main Restaurant is the centerpiece of our immersive and enriching range of culinary experiences. We're proud to present an unparalleled wealth of choices every evening. Working literally around the clock, the galleys delight in sending out artfully presented dishes, every delicate micro-green garnish perfectly in place.

We went on a 17 day cruise departing from Fremantle ,visiting Darwin and various ports along Queensland coast , terminating in Sydney . We chose to spend the days relaxing and winding down from the busy schedule we have working , despite there being 2,800 passengers on the ship we were always able to find a quiet area . The weather was hot and it was very appreciated to have crew members bringing around refreshing ice cold face clothes along with chilled fruit . The glass blowing demonstrations were amazing and each session bought new skills to be seen . The grassed area on deck 15 was a favourite to lay on at night whilst star gazing . The Martini bar was a favourite , the bar attendants always cheerful and very entertaining with their skills with making and pouring cocktails . The added feature of ice topped bar was a bonus. The Molecular bar also a hit , the use of alternate ingredients such as chilli , lemon grass amongst others bought new and enjoyable experience to the palate. Dining always of a high standard with a menu to cater for all tastes . Our cabin which was a deluxe veranda consisted of queen bed , which to my delight had rounded corners thus minimising trauma from contacting protruding corners . The couch and TV area was a welcom addition during the day . Bathroom consisted of an enclosed shower recess, lots of storage for personal effects and toiletries which were replenished on a daily basis. Our cabin attendant Patricko was very attentive and discreet , our room always impeccably clean and no matter what time we went for meal it had always been attended on our return . Celebrity staff are incredibly well organised , our embarking and disembarkation were rapid and trouble free. Leaving the ship by tender to go to visiting ports where ship unable to dock was very well organised and incident free . Entertainment catered for all tastes and of high standard . We had a thoroughly enjoyable cruise , I highly recommend the Solstice and its crew . We have sailed on other cruise lines but based on this cruise we will only sail Celebrity in the future .

Just returned from 17 nights on north QLD Explorer from Fremantle to Sydney. Bypassed Benoa due to high risk of attacks due to Bali New Year but only a small disappointment compared to food quality in the main dining room and oceanview café. To top it off there were limited tours available on official website when you could log on, more similiar tours added while onboard and limited tours that interested the family. Tours were designed and pointed to the 70 year old couples - not a family orientated trip and please reconsider this company if travelling outside of school holidays due to lack of younger, fun-filled and more noiser holiday. Average age on ship was 70 years with a dominant minority of rude, arrogant and class driven seniors who were completing a back-to-back 35 day sailing. They were threatened by the newcomers taking their seat in the theatre, tour bus, buffet hall or around the pool because you could walk faster. Most would not tolerate a cough or laugh or squeak because it would upset their concentration. During the day, the seniors would bake their thickened portly skin under the sun and periodically sit or lye down on the edge of the pool preventing anyone else from using the body of the pool. They could not see themselves moving to allow others to actually use the middle of the pool as this was their area. Tours were well organised but lacked variety with approximately six on offer per port with multiple departures. Basic transfers were costly but supported the guest's return timely to the ship. Australian meat was blamed for the leather like steaks which would have been better reef walkers, buffet was varied daily with 90% of the offering being presented daily. Food was monitored for freshness at buffets well and replenished quickly as the seniors rushed between counters to layer their overflowing plates to excess.
